Here are a few of the reasons Scranton is considered one of the world's most haunted cities.

Few towns or places in the USA has such a sorted history of corruption, tragic deaths, mine disasters, union masacares, Black Hand bombings, private police squads, prostutiion, and poverty as the Scranton Wilkes Barre Pocono Pittston area.

Scranton native Jason Miller was the handsome excorcist priest in the ground breaking film "The Exorcist" that was based on another true story. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his part in what was is first move role. He also won several other awards including a Tony and a Pulitzer Prize for his play "The Championship Season." He died in a downtown pub you will see. His spirit still lives in Scranton.

See the former dry goods store that was forced to become temporary resting places for bodies of the victims of the tragic epidemic of 1918 that killed more Americans than all world wars put together. It now houses a famous local pub that has been certified haunted. Most of our haunts have bees certified by several paranormal invetigation groups.
WHERE DO ALL THE GHOSTS HIDE IN THE DAY? Scranton churned out coal that fueled America's Industrial Revolution before the coal mines that used to be underground every where were shut down. Those mines have long been abandoned, but there are 3,000 MILES of underground tunnels many close to the surface under you here that are causing problems, and cave ins to this day.
While on the tour you will pass some of our other historic sites such as the Monument to George Washington, the hughe Monument to our Soldiers and Sailors, a monument to famous violinist Florian Zabach and movie actress Lizabeth Scott who had roots in scranton.
Other sites: The unrequited ghost of Dr. Isaiah Everhart is said to be seen in the Everhart Museum he gifted to the city. He fell.... or was he pushed?. It led to his untimely death.

Other ghostly figures are said to walk the grounds of Museum Park, The spirits of unfortunate individuals who fell or committed sucicide in the Nay Aug Gorge.
Other sites: West Mountain Sanitarium - A long while back the Tuberculosis patients were sent there to live and be treated. During a massive fire hundreds of patients died and are believed to haunt the place.
Other sites: There have been spirits and sightings at the Colonnade, the Catlin House and Andy Gavin's Pub.
Other sites: Scranton - Washburn Street Cemetery- in the back of the cemetery by the woods if you listen close enough, standing next to a grave, and yell loud and then listen, you can here voices telling you to be quite!
Other sites: Harrison Avenue bridge is hanted but people never paid attention how many people jumped to their deaths off that bridge.
Other sites: Learn of the State School for the Deaf that is haunted by a ghost dog and a boy.
Learn how and why one of the bigget mot important building you will see was buried on a swamp that the poor kids ice skated on in the winter, some of whom fell in and died below.
